Third Bike Ride to Little Gleason (W6 CT-087) 6020 ft, 21 March 2015

My third bike ride to this peak. Set off from Mill Creek Summit about 0730. Many trucks passed by for the electrical line work. I would stop and move well to the side when they passed. A nice sunny day, 50 degrees F (20C), a light wind from the west. At Mill Creek, met a couple who were going to hike the 9 miles to Mt Gleason and back…a long day!

On the way up. An hour and a half to the top all told.

Made some 2m QSOs first, then to HF. Later on, Bob K6TUY told me Dan NA6MG was on a peak, so I left the rig on 10.110 MHz, heard him call QRL?, and we completed a summit to summit QSO.

Operating with the HB1B QRP rig

    Hal,
Thanks for all the work you do to put out this blog, I really enjoy reading it and checking out the pictures.
I do miss clicking on a photo and getting a really large photo that you could really look at the details.
    Thanks again and stay safe!

Hi Steve- yep I decided to reduce the photo size to about 200kb, because wordpress gives me 2.2GB and I guess this blog will go on a long time so I don’t want to use up my memory allocation. The pix used to be much larger. Right now I have used about 500MB, mostly from the older large pix! 73 Hal
