My Fifth Activation of Mt. Waterman (W6 CT-012) 8038 ft, 27 May 2015

Mt. Waterman is one of my favorites; a moderate hike of about 6 miles total, 1200 ft or so elevation gain, and very pretty terrain through pines, cedar and boulders. Started at 0620…nice to start in the light and not at dawn for a change!

Wearing my wool shirt, was warm enough in the sun and temp in the mid 50s (12C) I did not really need it today. Beautiful weather!

Decided to take the jeep road down, for a change

Not much water in the reservoir near the ski area

Chatted with Todd at the ski area (top of Chair 1) They will be opening for mountain biking and “disc (i.e. frisbee) golf” in a couple of weeks. Saw his tabby cat “Squeak”…he told me his other tabby “Pip” had sadly passed away.

Nice walk down the jeep road
