The View from Pt 4202 (W6 CT-150) 8 January 2016

We have just had a lot of snow up in the mountains this past week, so I wanted to go up to the Angeles Crest to enjoy the nice view from Pt 4202.

Strawberry Peak (W6 CT-018) and Mt. Lawlor (W6 CT-089) from near the start above the little Clear Creek USFS ranger station.

There is even a little snow on my little mountain. Mt Lukens (W6 CT-030) center and Hoyt Mountain (W6 CT-146) right. There’s snow up on Lukens.

Mt Disappointment (not a SOTA peak)

Pt 4202 is not a particularly good mountain for 2 meter FM, since higher mountains obscure the line of sight to areas such as the San Gabriel Valley where Charles KM6CEM lives

Condor Peak (W6 CT-027). Snow is present on the east “wing” of Condor. Snowy Iron Mountain (W6 CT-024) is just visible peaking out in the gap between the east “wing” and the next bump – Fox Mountain.
