Three Glendale Hills 23 June 2017

Verdguo Peak (W6 CT-269), Cerro Negro Benchmark (W6 CT-226), and Flint Peak (W6 CT-225) are three lower hills in Glendale. Started early up Whiting Woods Road before sunrise for Verdugo, to take advantage of the coolness before the summer heat later in the day. Planned to operate 2m FM only.

Set up just outside the radio facility on Flint, Cerro Negro in the distance. One of the hams I talked to today told me that the “lookout”on the top of Cerro Negro was formerly an air raid siren used during the Cold War

Many thanks to Charles KM6CEM and Dan NA6MG for spotting me today
